A beautiful morning started the day and we got ready for the
ferry to arrive with visitors. We had no private boat visitors prior to the
ferry arrival for a change, which was nice to have morning time before the
crowds arrived. Our 3 overnight guests arrived with the ferry and it was a
couple from MA and another gentleman named Seguin from Montreal. We managed to
get their stuff up on the tram and had a small crowd watch the tram in action
as we brought it up from below. We were busy the whole afternoon even after the
ferry crowd left with private boat people. Our guests noticed how busy we were
with the steady stream of people well into the late afternoon. We did manage to
have lunch of leftover beef stroganoff and I had some lobster bisque soup with
leftover lobster. I located some large letter stencils and a nice piece of wood
in the Whistle house to use for a sign. I’m going to paint a larger gift store
sign since people don’t seem to see the small one we have at the cove. About
half the private people tell us they didn’t know there was a gift store on the
island and we lose a lot of sales. So hopefully they will notice a bigger sign
and bring their money or credit cards when they come ashore.
In the late afternoon we chatted with a nice
couple that had arrived on a beautiful sailboat. They invited us over to their
boat later for some wine and conversation. So we took them up on their offer at
around 6:30 pm. I had fed Sac and went down to the cove to look for beach glass
at low tide. We got the dinghy out and Fred rowed over to the

sailboat and we
climbed aboard. They had a nice little spread out of cheese and crackers,
almonds, grapes and red wine. The boat was 50 feet long and gorgeous. So we had
a very nice visit with this couple from Bermuda and got a tour inside of the
boat. It was very sleek and modern and spacious. At about 8 pm we departed and
Fred rowed back to the beach. Up we went to the house and checked on a sleeping
Sac. We checked with our guests and they declined a tour of the lighthouse till
the next day. They were enjoying their evening after a busy day. I made a salad
and Fred later cooked up some cod with lemon butter dill sauce for a late
dinner. I wrote the blog for Wednesday and fell asleep in the process. I was
too tired to write the Thursday blog and had to get a quick letter written to
send off with Cyndy the next day. It would be a busy day tomorrow with the Navy
personnel coming over at 8 am to do some volunteer work and HAM radio operators
having a radio excursion and contest going on.
