Day 21, 7 June

4 visitors

The "Rebel" owned my Gilmore, note two little girls and dog being pushed back to the boat by dad
A bright sunny warm morning greeted us today. Again we did little chores around the house, look at emails and write yesterday’s blog. Early afternoon we had visitors – the Mayor of Bath – Mary and her husband and two small sons and doggie – Sato, arrived on their boat. I just happened to be wearing my latest Bath T-shirt that I got last time at the cute little Pharmacy in Bath. They came up to take a tour of the lighthouse,

museum and gift shop. Mary had been here a long time again but enjoyed seeing everything again, they also had a nice time at the cove with the boys swimming in the cold water a bit. We also had another boat with the son of the owner of Gilmore’s Fish Market where we have been getting some fresh fish and scallops. They had a small party come ashore with a dog to the cove where they enjoy playing on the beach and swimming in the cove a bit.  They did not come up to the lighthouse. Later in the after noon Fred went down the North trail to check signs and just to sightsee. I decided to tackle repainting the letters on the Welcome sign just under the tram. All the lettering was faded so I redid the red, blue and black letters again with paint pens or cans of paint I found to use. It took about 2 hours and looks all nice and new

again. There were brief intermittent light showers here and then and then it calmed down and brightened up once more, though the air turned cooler. We hadn’t had lunch at all and were starving Fred cooked up hamburgers and made a salad which we had for dinner. We relaxed in the evenings and watched the Kings beat the Rangers in one and a half over-times. Last evening while washing up for bed in the bathroom I noticed a large moth on the window outside. This lovely, pale green creature was a favorite of mine – the elegant luna moth with large tapered wings in the soft shade of delicate green. What a treat to see this little gift of the night. Sleep well gentle moth and please visit me again!
